"The Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous" pamphlet is available online

We have found over the past year that approaching AAs with A.A. General Service Conference-approved literature can be a good place to start.

Alcoholics Anonymous (the "Big Book"), 4th ed., 2001.

Page 191 (Bill W. & A.A. Number Three, Bill D.--"the Lord has cured me from this terrible disease, . . .") and page 181 (Dr. Bob--"Your Heavenly Father will never let you down!") are great places to start in the Big Book, fourth edition (2001).

The Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous: Biographical Sketches: Their Last Major Talks (Item # P-53)

We have suggested that people acquire hundreds(!) of the A.A. General Service Conference-approved pamphlet titled "The Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous: Biographical Sketches: Their Last Major Talks" and give them (i.e., "lead with" them) if they seem at all responsive to hearing about the 75% overall success rate A.A.'s claimed for its work with "seemingly-hopeless," "medically-incurable" alcoholics who thoroughly followed the original A.A. program. We also suggest people consider highlighting some of the key references to God, His Son Jesus Christ, the Bible, and Christianity in that pamphlet; and including their personal contact information in the back of the pamphlet; e.g., a stapled or included business card, or a name, email address, and/or cell phone number. The pamphlet is also available from A.A. in New York online:

Dick B., The Good Book and the Big Book: A.A.'s Roots in the Bible

The pamphlet can be given to interested people by itself and/or together with The Good Book and the Big Book: A.A.'s Roots in the Bible by Dick B.

DR. BOB and the Good Oldtimers

If people want to stay focused on A.A.'s own literatature after reading The Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous pamphlet, they can be given the A.A. General Service Conference-approved book DR. BOB and the Good Oldtimers--the book that launched my dad on his 23 years of research.

PS: If they like to listen to audios, you might checked out the "Russell S. Talks" page on the www.ChristianRecoveryRadio.com Web site.

In GOD's love,
