The Nationwide Alcoholics Anonymous History Conferences:
Something we have conducted many times in Arkansas, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, Arizona, California, Maui, Oahu, Big Island of Hawaii, Kentucky, British Columbia, Minnesota,Wisconsin, Ohio, Tennesee, Missouri, West Virginia, Washington D.C., at an A.A. History Cruise in the Caribbean, and at one to Alaska, as well as other important locations.
Portland, Maine in September: One is in the works right now. For Portland, Maine--about Friday nite September 6th and Saturday September 7th. We are expecting to see a number of long-term recovered Christian alcoholics and addicts who are leaders and workers in their fellowships and participants in International Christian Recovery Coalition www.ChristianRecoveryCoalition.com. We hope they come as our treasured recovered participants from Canada; Maine; New Hampshire; Vermont; Connecticut; fMassachusetts; from New York; from Delaware; from New Jersey; and from Pennsylvania. We look forward to their sharing their expertise in recovery, history, Christian roots, Steps, and to learning facets of recovery that have been buried and/or unspoken correctly far too long.
Fort Worth, Texas: Just today we interviewed Bryce H. who is a recovered Christian leader and worker, whose wife is a professional recovery counselor, and both of whom are salivating at the prospect of having savvy speakers, food and music, and workshops on sponsorship, newcomer focus, and application of old school A.A. in the recovery arena today
Possibly Central California: We have had lots of these in Chico, Oroville, Auburn, Livermore, Brentwood, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Mill Valley, Los Gatos, and other spots to come. We'll keep you posted.
Remotely possible in Alaska: A generous, recovered, Christian physician just visited us in Maui. He bought an entire reference set, has been reading it avidly, and wanted to have us come to Alaska this June. But his schedule won't permit it at this time. On the other hand, Russell Spatz, attorney from Miami, has been on many cruises, spoken at many conference, and recently headed up CrossFlorida Conference. Now he is planning an Alaska cruise this summer. And we hope perhaps that our good doctor and our good lawyer can combine forces and enable service on the way to and in Alaska when the lights are on!!
