"Cured" and the "There Is Hope" January 19, 1939, newspaper article

By Ken B.

As my dad (Dick B.) likes to say, "When you find one piece of truth, there is (most likely going to be) more." So, on "cured," here is a photocopy of an article titled "There Is Hope" published Thursday, July 19, 1939, in "The Hackettstown [New Jersey] Courier-Post," in which "a former big business executive"--likely A.A. cofounder Bill W.'s business partner Hank P.--told Silas Bent, former Sunday Editor of "The New York Times," ". . . with elation that he had been cured." http://gsowatch.aamo.info/1938/newspap.gif. And here is a purported transcript of that article: http://www.a-1associates.com/aa/MAGAZINES/Hackettstown.htm.
