Many AAs, myself included, were told never to read beyond the first 164 pages of their basic text. In fact that announcement was so common it worked for quite a number. They just never read page 181 or page 191 of the latest 4th edition of A.A.'s basic text Alcoholics Anonymous.
Don't miss them. On page 181, Dr. Bob concludes his personal story with the statement "Your Heavenly Father will never let you down!"
On page 191, Bill Wilson states "the Lord has been so wonderful to me curing me of this terrible disease, and I just want to keep talking about it and telling people."
On page 191, A.A. Number Three (Bill Dotson) not only subscribed to Bill's statement, but called it the "golden text of A.A."
