A.A. History - A.A. Founding Brief # 1

A.A. Historians, A.A. Scholars, A.A. Researchers, A.A. Members, and 12 Steppers in recovery need a brief, book by book, subject by subject resource to which they may turn for accurate, well-researched, well-documented historian facts by the leading "unofficial" A.A. Historian today; and we will mention a few separately and briefly.

A.A. Brief # 1 - The Bible and Alcoholics Anonymous. There are two easily read, thoroughly presented books by author Dick B. They are: "The Good Book and The Big Book: A.A.'s Roots in the Bible" (www.dickb.com/goodbook.shtml) and "The James Club and the Original A.A. Program's "Absolute Essentials" Both clue the reader as to the truth and details of A.A. co-founder Dr. Bob's statement that the basic ideas for the Twelve Steps came from their effort and study of the Bible--he called it the "Good Book"
