Before he passed away, Bonnie's former husband--Albert
("Ozzie") Lepper--had purchased the "Mt. Aeolus Inn" in
East Dorset, Vermont, from Henry Holden in early 1987.
(The inn had been known previously as "The Wilson
House" from around late 1871 until around 1920.)
Ozzie began renovating it in 1987; reopened it as “The
Wilson House” in 1988; and completed major renovations in 1994.
Bonnie worked alongside her husband Ozzie for many years in
renovating and maintaining The Wilson House until he passed away.
She then took over as the Managing Director of The Wilson
House.
Bonnie told me that she wrote "this
memoir"--"My Journey Toward Gratitude: The Vision and Renewal of the
Bill W. House"--"to preserve Ozzie’s vision and document the early
years."
