"God" is mentioned 277 times by name, with a capital "G," in the third edition of A.A.'s Big Book.¹ The Big Book also contains 107 specific pronouns—he, him, his, and himself—which are capitalized and clearly refer to “God.”² Counting the Big Book’s use of Biblical names for God (such as “Creator,” “Maker” and as specified below), the God of the Bible is mentioned over 400 times.³
